Sewing Tutorial: make a cafetiere cosy

This week I have written a series of posts breaking down the process of making a cafetiere cosy. This project was inspired by my Creative Sewing Challenge theme for June, ‘Flight of the Bumblebee’, and I’ve really enjoyed the creative journey its taken me on; from honeycomb-inspired crazy quilting, through to darting bee embellishments, and a thread-sketched bee motif to finish. If you decide to follow these tutorials to make your own cosy (tied to this or any other theme that inspires your design), please do tag me on instagram @amylovestosew to share your progress – I love to see what other people are making.

And if the Creative Sewing Challenge is something that interests you, you’d be very welcome to take part! Its open to all types of sewing and all types of sewing abilities. Simply sign up below to start receiving new prompts each month to support your sewing, and I share lots of ideas and inspiration along the way.
