Make these fruity felt keyrings in no time at all. Choose a lemon, lime or orange slice (or all three) to brighten up your day; these fun accessories make a perfect sewing project for summer.

You will need:
- Orange, yellow, green and white felt
- Matching orange, yellow and green embroidery floss
- Colourful ribbon
- Bondaweb (or similar adhesive paper for appliqué)
- Toy stuffing
- Keyring rings
- Embroidery needle
- Scissors and pins
- Pencil
Trace the small circle and 8 segment pieces onto bondaweb or similar.

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to fuse the segment pieces to your orange felt, and the small white circle to your white felt.

Cut out the shapes. Cut two large orange circles using the final pattern piece .

Peel of the backing paper on your white circle, and Bond to one of the orange circles.

Peel off the backing paper on your segments and place on top of the white circle. Be sure you are happy with the position before bonding in place with the iron.

Repeat with yellow and green felt.

Stitch each segment in place using two strands of matching embroidery thread and a small running stitch.

Cut approximately 6cm of ribbon and make a loop. Stitch this onto the back piece of the keyring, making sure the ends of your thread are the same side as the ends of the ribbon.

Pin the front and back pieces wrong sides together, and use a blanket stitch to sew them in place. Leave a gap at the bottom for stuffing.

Lightly stuff, and finish using blanket stitch to close the hole.

Add a keyring through the ribbon loop and you are all done; a fun, fruity keyring to give or keep. Repeat these stages with yellow and green felt to make a lemon and lime slice and you’ll have the full set.
